Carefree awning won t open.

Believe it or not these are for manual operation. I had a buddy who had the same problem and it was the cable from the motor to the controller. Any inputs on why it closed on it own. The problem with my carefree awning is when i open it it stay open for few seconds then is closed on it own.

Originally i created this video so that my sons could use my motorhome showing them detailed description on opening up a carefree rv awning. There is no winds. We cannot open our awning will the button on the control board. All rvs that come with an awning will come with an awning rod as well. Pull the support arm to release the ratchet attached to the other end of the lever. The ratchet mechanism is essentially a directional lever located on the end of the awning closest to the front of the rv.
