The first problem was that there was no lip on the cabinet in which to add molding. Crown molding is used to finish the tops of tall and wall cabinets. As the doors ended so did the top of the cabinet. The frame measures the exact same size as the sides and front of the cabinet.

Next it s time to create the lip molding frame to trim the edges of the cut down cabinet doors.
